Place the barrel (1) in a press large-down and put it with a tool T-1 in the splined shaft hole in the barrel.
Put the thrust washer (3) and spring (4) over the hold-down shaft (2) in the order that is shown on the diagrams.
Not put the hold-down shaft in the barrel and let it lay on the tool T-1. Angle it in a way the two spring retainers (5) are on the shaft and inside of the spring.
Put the the tool T-2 with the bigger end of the tapered hole up, over the shaft and up against the barrel face.
Put the ring (6) on the shaft and in the tool T-2.
Now place the ring with the gap within 5/8″ of the notch in the barrel so it will be easy to take out.
Next tool T-3 will go over the shaft with the little end up against the ring. Putting pressure on the end of the assy tool and make sure the ring is in the groove in the barrel.
Take out the assy tools. And look to make sure the ring is in the correct position.
