Sundstrand Sauer Danfoss Series 90 100 CC Pump – Piston Improvement

Service Bulletin SB-8823 talks about Piston Improvement. The change is using fabricated (welded) piston assemblies to phasing out the non fabricated (hollow) piston assemblies in the cylinder block (barrel) on the Series 90 pumps & motors.

The single welded piston assemblies will be the only parts as service parts. The hollow pistons will no longer be available. You will need to keep the part number for the welded pistons, for future replacements.

When taking out the hollow pistons and putting in the new welded pistons for the replacement, it is instructed that the welded pistons be put in symmetrically in multiplies of 3.
