When you want to tell the direction of the shafts rotation you will need to look at the pump with the shaft pointing toward you, with the idler or drive gear beneath the shaft. For the counter clockwise rotation, the flow will go from left to right. Your inlet port will also be on the left and outlet on the right. All this will be opposite if it is counter clockwise rotation.
