Vickers PV45C Pintle Bearing Shimming Procedure

1.Put in both the pintle bearing covers on the yoke.
2. Put in the whole pintle bearing assy. (the race, spacer,oring,pintle cover and sleeves) at the top of the housing.
3. Next put in the other bearing race, shim and spacer is .15 inches above the housing face.
4. Swing the yoke back and forth while apply 250-299 lbf force to the spacer to nestle next to the pintle bearing.
5. Get measurements from the face of housing to the top of the spacer.
6.Take out the spacer and the amount of shims that are the same measurements (from the face to the top of the spacer).
7. Add .15-.19 inches of shim thickness to the shim stack that is the same step 6.
Put together the spacer.
8. Put in the oring, pintle cover and the screws to finish the pintle assy.
