Some conveyor systems need a constant speed to give consistent work results. They need to have the same speed, adjustable and the two end sections need to be worked independently for setup and belt changes.
So each of these problems are ran by a variable pump/ fixed motor combo. The motor shaft speed is censored by a pulse pickup and fed back to a closed loop speed control. Then the control will decrease or increase its voltage signal to the EDC. The speed set point can be thru a potentiometer. Speed tolerances rely on the response of the transmission, electronic components.
