John Deere Crawler 755B – Coolant Instructions

First of all make sure your unit is cooled down. Take off filler cap after it cooled down enough, loosen cap to first stop to relieve pressure before taking it off all the way.
Should do this in the Spring & Fall.
Make sure to check out your hoses for cracks or leaks, tighten up any loose clamps and clean up radiator fans.
Usually every two years you will need to drain and flush out your cooling system. Needs to be done by a commercial radiator shop and fill it back up. And need be, replace your thermostats.
To do this on your own you will need to turn radiator drain cock to open the valve. Take out side engine side shield and take out the plug to let out the oil. Then take out the opposite side shield and take out the plug to drain the engine block. After all the coolant has come out, put plugs back in and close off valve.
John Deere recommends you use Low Silicate Antifreeze. There are some others you can use, ethylene glycol, don’t need to have more than .1 % anhydrous metasilicate.
Also, in different regions of the country you may need to use different antifreeze for your climate. Make sure you pay attention to that when getting antifreeze. If you are unsure, check with a dealer , supplier or hydraulic repair shop (such as ours) before getting antifreeze.
