The performance of the EDC is a faster stroke rate,narrow servo control deadband and for a pump/motor controlled by a single electrical signal.

The EDC control is an inexpensive two stage electrohydraulic valve that uses mechanical feedback to affect a closed loop control of the swashplate angle of sundstrand hydrostatic transmissions.
